Raul Wallberg also rented thirty-two buildings in Budapest. They were declared “extraterritorial”, protected by the diplomatic immunity. There were signs that were out up that said “The Swedish Library” and “The Swedish Research Institute”. These signs were put on the Jews door's. They also hung oversized Swedish flags on the front of the buildings. These buildings held almost 10,000 people.
